Selling recyclable materials

I started it this year, in a more extensive way, after knowing my neighbour is selling those bottles too!

I segregated my waste materials accordingly and then I drove to the resource management company, get them weighed and get paid by A FEW ringgits.

My main purpose is not the $ but to hopefully can contribute (although negligible) to the green environment.

From the latest collection, I managed to see the calculation that lady imposed on the waste materials I collected.

ONP (old newspaper) -  newspapers only (RM0.39/kg)
CB (cardboard) - boxes, hardcovers, cardboards (RM0.40/kg)
MW (material waste) - magazines, brochures, flyers, books, papers (RM0.23/kg)
PLS (plastic materials) - plastic containers, plastic bottles... (RM0.20/kg)

This company that I frequent does not accept glass materials. BUT for those waste material collectors that drove to collect by lorry, some of them do.

In our daily life, we used to throw away many such recyclable materials. One of the examples is those flyers that are dropped into our mailboxes almost everyday.

Some of the examples on how I did my segregation.

1) I keep those juice bottles for enzyme generation (yeah, those which we could add into our washing detergent and etc for cleaning purpose one).

2) I throw those flyers/brochures/magazines into a box.

3) I unfold and throw those box /hardcover packaging of grocery items into another box.

4) I clean and keep those finished/unwanted plastic materials/bottles into another box.

5) I clean and keep those aluminium cans in another bag.

A day to remember

Yesteday marked as 'A day to remember' for me.

I always believe that whatever we studied or invested (in the manner of time) will never be wasted.

Last time when started working, I spent 2 years part-time studying that so-called 'boh eong' de NIIT course and got to learn those HTML, Java, programming & etc. In the end, it helped me nothing at work but very useful for my own exploration at lelong, ebay and blogging.

Yesterday using the knowledge and experience in the past on ebay + lelong (buysell) + blogspot, I have finally "conquered" the X forum and got those photos uploaded successfully!! This success has weaponed us just in time for a 'war'. Phew~!

Can see cannot own

Popular clearance sale @ Midlands, Member's day on 25-Mac.

Recipe with soooo CUTE cover, how to resist buying right? Taiwan mari one.

I saw a lot of recipes with this type of cover left only 1 to 2 copies. Must be kena sapu by readers during the day time.

I went after dinner. I got to let go buying after seeing extremely long queue at cashiers. I was having phobia on queuing due to last year experience - queue for nearly 1 hour without air cond, after closing time.

My allergy report shows that I am not allergic to any common food ( egg white, milk, soya bean, peanut, wheat, chicken meat) and seafood ( fish, crab and shrimp).

Preservative is the most possible culprit?! No wonder I have never had any failures in Japanese restaurant (yet)!

Ahem! Belanja me? Please ....Japanese restaurant har!

Not good in DIY. I spent long time in assembling it yoh!

Green Bamboo Snake (青 竹 絲 蛇 )

I live until this age, first time encountered such incidence.

We saw this creature today morning around 11.10am when we were about to go out.

We called bomba at 11.15 a.m and being transferred to the unit in charge after telling the operator "Ada ular" .

He told us to keep watching at the snake to see where it moves to. We kept our eyes on this creature until ~11.40 a.m. It moved its posture for a few times and glided up the ceiling at last to hide there before the rescue crew arrived. Seriously under hot sun and such situation, minutes passed by like hours although it's just ~25 minutes.

The snake immediately hid into the gap of the grill when the crew (4 persons) came in group 'looking' at it. There was once the snake missing in sight. Luckily they told me to get the Ridsect. After spraying into the hole/gap, the snake couldn't stand and moved out!

The used the gripper to catch it, but it struggled and fell down to the floor, and moved towards me, who was standing near the car! I screamed like what, jumped like hell and twisted my ankle! :(

He told us this is "Chae Tek See" species.

The end of operation at 11.50am.
