Day 1 :
Due to raining, immediate after lunch, we were brought to see lobster & mantis and the tour guide explained to us how to differentiate the sex of crabs and also the different methods of tying the crabs.
Next, we visited the kilang arang batu, charcoal factory.
Next, still raining leh....we visited the 华圣宫, inside got 十八层地狱 (sap pat chan dei yuk) oh but kinda poorly maintained though! There are statues featuring how the after-death punishments are but not enough lighting for me to read the lines on most of the boards. What a pity!
Along the way, the tour guide showed us how they catch the crabs and the cockles. You can have hands-on also.
Bringing the binoculars for bird-watching was such a fantastic experience! There were lots of monsoon birds indeed! We found mostly egrets and eagles. We detected storkbills, sandpipers, night-herons and etc. To some of those who have visited here before, they claimed that the numbers of birds seemed to be less, tour guide explained due to the long rain lah perhaps.
